Here it is, just withdrawn from an important collection, this extremely rare Italian memorabilia from the Great War. It is an armored helmet produced in very few examples for front-line fighters forged by the workshop of the engineer Ferruccio Farina, its creator and builder. Unfortunately it is missing its wimple and its liner which, being of very fragile material, had to be destroyed but this does not affect its historical value, in fact it is the first one I have found in 45 years.
